ESFACIER
TO ERASE
Role: Fashion Event Director & Writer
Focus: Creative Direction / Event Concept / Narrative Writing
The challenge: Build a coherent creative identity and narrative for a fashion event.
Esfacier (“erase”; from the French effacer, meaning “to rub out the face”) was a fashion-narrative event that took place in Nicosia, Cyprus, on February 1, 2020.
I directed the event’s layout and spatial architecture and developed its accompanying Narrative, a sarcastic take on propaganda within the fashion industry. I also produced the event in collaboration with CPEIC.
My contribution brought together the conceptual and practical sides of creative work: developing the narrative, shaping the event’s identity, and helping connect the fashion, visuals, and overall experience through a consistent creative direction.
The images below were designed by Tereza Kourra of CPEIC, with text written by me.
